My Super Star

Today brought a break in the weather so we headed to one of our favourite places for some fun. We made our way to a unusually busy Ellesmere first calling in on some of the shop we like to visit before walking to the beautiful Cremorne Gardens set besides the mere. Firstly Kellyn headed to the park. Ceienna was tired so stayed in her pram for a rest, But keeping a watchful eye on Kellyn and myself. It was soon time for the gathering which we where going to. Today the Gardens was turned into a play area for children under 5. There was Play Dough Outdoor games and crafts also face painting and most exciting of all a treasure hunt. First Kellyn made for the play dough while i got talking to one of the group leaders that also works in Dads Club she filled me in on how the Children get on so well with Daddy while at the club and how out standing our children are. Kellyn made his way round the different activities while Ceienna played with so fab toys which help develop her different senses. Next Kellyn wanted to do the Treasure hunt and i must admit i though he may struggle with this at his age so i decided to help him. Kellyn amazed me whizzing around the hunt in double quick time. When he got back to the organiser she was amazed at seeing him with is completed sheet back so quickly and gave him his sticker and certificate. After so much fun we made our way back to the town Ceienna was singing a beautiful song from her pram as she does quite often. on the way we found a lots of Butterfly's in a field we stayed for a while watching them I was even lucky enough to take some great photos of them without disturbing them, I will add them to my online photo portfolio very soon.
I cant believe how much fun we had today and i am totally amazed at Kellyns achievements with the Treasure Hunt just shows you never know what our son will achieve next, An up and Coming Star.

Lazy Sunday

Sunday dawned with a very Wet start which would continue all day, However we still headed out to the Boot Sales where we clinched some good deals on some collectable items. We also bought a fab pram for Ceienna. Later when we got Home Daddy prepared a wonderful roast dinner which was just wow with a lovely Pudding to Follow.

In the Evening after our dinner had settled we all gathered in the middle sitting room and played with the Cotton Reels. These are something i highly recommend for Young Children. Ceienna can hold them and play with them quite safely while Kellyn lined them up and counted them, practiced his colours before threading them onto the lace. This helps him to gain his Hand Eye coordination and most importantly for our Kellyn, Patience. Daddy did really well helping Kellyn to thread the Cotton reels and he soon managed to get the hang of it. This was a lovely way to spend time together on a very cold and wet summer evening.

Dad's Club

Another month gone already and it was time for dads

club, this is my time for the children

we really look forward to this and have made lots of new friends, kellyn is always very excited at going and drags me out of the house really early. This week was a special time as it was ceienna,s first time at the snack table she was able to sit on her own and eat all by herself she is so advanced at things .

This week we were outside doing all sorts kellyn was in playing at the water table where he found a toy lobster with pinchers he also spent a lot of time at the play dough table, baby sister joined in and it was really good fun, snack time came and i sat ceienna at the table she looked so grown up sitting there all by herself she really enjoys her food just like kellyn.

After snacks we all had story and song time and all the children join in and is really good fun next month we have a chef coming in and we are all going to be making food can not wait.

Muzzy and Me

As the Children headed off to Dads Club with Daddy, It gave me chance to indulge in one of my favourite hobbies Dog Walking. Muzzy makes a great walking companion and he is very obedient I am able to let him off his lead when it is safe to do so and his responds well just to various whistles. Last Month We headed to Oswestry Old Hill Fort. This was a great experience where you could imagine what life must have been like during the Iron Age. While we were there the weather was very damp but i always feel refreshed from walking in these conditions. Walking is defiantly one thing i have missed since Ive not done much for the last 4 years but now life is changing and pleasure time is once more being resumed.

This Month Muzzy and I Walked round Ellesmere leaving the Car at the Mere we headed through the fields into the town and along the Canal. Following the tow path this took us past the Marina to a foot path which leads round through the Nature Reserve and back to the mere the whole walk only took us three quarters on an hour which i was really pleased with. Now looking for some where to go next month, I cant Wait.

Acton Scott Historic Working Farm

On an Extremely Wet and Showery day we made our way through Shropshire to Church Stretton First we Stopped in the Town to Explore the local shops before heading 4 miles further down the road to Acton Scott Historic Working Farm. This is where they filmed Victorian Farm last year. I came here quite a few years ago and i was amazed at how much it has changed. We all found something here that interested us. Despite the rain which never dampens down our fun we had a great time , i highly recommend it as a place to visit where there is really something for everyone.

After our trip to the farm, We headed to The beautiful Carding Mill Valley another favourite place of mine. Here Kellyn and I got our Wellies on and went for a Walk in the Stream which runs through the Valley.

We had a great laugh here, it was a really good day all round despite the horrible weather.

LIFE;S A BEACH

When the chance for me to have a week in Spain through work came up well what would you do yes that,s right passport ,sun tan oil etc.

I was staying in a resort called lorrett de mar in northern Spain 50 mile from the french border as we got nearer the weather was getting very warm,we arrived at the hotel which was all paid for with everything included.

Early start with a trip to a local vine yard that was very interesting pity i don't drink but the grape juice was very nice we then headed back to the hotel for a dip in the pool wow it was warm evening meal time was a buffet eat as much as you want it was really nice.

Next day was a trip to the famous Dalli museum this was very good we had a walk around the old town typical Spanish all relaxing and talking really nice.

The rest of the week was work mixed in with leisure time the trip down to the beach was nice swimming in the med lovely and warm and sitting on the beach just relaxing what a different world from the one i have known.

All to soon the week was over and time to head back i think this week in Spain was the calm before the storm as there are lots of things going to be happening when the England shores come into view .

Mersey Ferry and U-Boat Story

Today we headed to Birkenhead to the Woodside Ferry Terminal, Kellyn was very excited at the very thought of getting on the Ferry and couldn't wait to get on board. Once on board we headed to the top of the boat were we took our seats for the tour. Ceienna was really excited and loved every minute of it. The commentary on the boat was very informative though we did have our own from Daddy which was even better. The trip lasted a hour and we were then ready for our next history lesson.

We headed through the Terminal to the U- Boat Story exhibition, This really was amazing and Kellyn was extremely interested in the Submarine and how it works as well as its general History.

The day slipped away from us fast so we headed along the coast line visiting Park Gate for some Delightful Chips before heading home.

Hoo Farm

After a very educational visit to the Ironbridge Museums it was time for fun, so we headed for Hoo Farm. We were amazed at how much better it was compared to Park Hall. There is lots more to do here and lots more animals to see and interact with. Both the children had lots of fun visiting the animals. Ceienna was most excited especially when she came across the Horses which seem her favourite at the moment.

At Hoo Farm there is an Extensive collection of birds of all sizes shapes and varieties. Including Owls.
This eagle Owl was great he was very loud so i was able to hear him well. Everytime during the day he saw Ceienna he was very excited and began talking to her, and Ceienna started talking back.

Kellyn came across this little fella wandering around and they soon became good friends.

After looking at the larger animals ( Alpicas, Donkeys and Larmas to name a few) It was time for an animal break so Kellyn headed in the barn to make use of having Daddy back home

Though there was no age limit to the fun, It was open to everyone.

Who says size matters. lol.
These Two just melted all our hearts, They were just Gorgeous.

Next we wandered around past the pigs, goats and ponys and into another barn where Ceienna found another favourite of hers, Fish. She was amazed and was transfixed on them for ages.

Both the boys then had a go at Milking.

Next we all had lots of fun. We bounced on trampolines, dived in ball pools and played on a playground.
