Beeston Market and Castle

Today Daddy decided to take the family off to Beeston. First we headed off to the Market. At the Market we brought lots of fantastic things to eat for our Dinner and for our Tea. We also used this trip to teach Kellyn more about money. After a stroll around the market we headed back to the car for our next stop. We then took the mile and a half drive to Beeston Castle. Arriving just in time for the Doors to open. We paid our entrance fee and looked around the exhibits on show. Kellyn was excited and extremely interested in what he was seeing. We then took the Quarter mile walk up a steep hill to the castle. Kellyn had great fun playing in the castle walls on the way up. He really showed what a Strong lad he is by walking all the way to the top today. It was well worth the walk the views were outstanding and since it was a nice clear day we could see for miles. Kellyn was rewarded by seeing a train passing by, he was ever so pleased. After sitting talking and taking in the views for a while we made our way back down. we stopped to look at the wildlife making use of the castle and there was lots to see again something kellyn is very interested in. As we got back to the bottom Kellyn wanted another look around the castle exhibits and i read the castle history to him. His interest really surprised me. We got back to the car and made our way home Stopping at Peckforton Castle for the Land Rover Experience and then few more places on the way.

Family Time In the Sun

Today we spent the day together. First we headed out to Playgroup before going for a walk at Ty Mawr Country Park. Kellyn headed to the animals first with Muzzy and then off to the Playground dragging Daddy and Ceienna with him.

After taking in some fresh air at the park we headed off to our next stop. Plas Madoc Swimming Pool.

It did not take long for us to get into our swimming costumes and hit the water. This was Ceienna's First time Swimming so it was even more exciting.

Kellyn went straight to the water slide. he is such a confident little lad and totally fearless. Ceienna loved the water especially when she went in her float which used to belong to Kellyn. Ceienna was even able to control it herself. Next it was time for the waves. The whole family had fun including Ceienna She loved it. After the waves finished the Boys headed on the Big Flume, My heart was in my throat thinking Kellyn would be scared by such an experience at 2 1/2 years old but no he came out laughing and back in the pool. I should have known better. Time shot by and it was time to go. Both the children were asleep before we left the car park.

As both the children were sleeping in the back of the car we headed to Llangollen and picked up some chips along with some fresh Oranges before heading up the Horseshoe Pass to spend a few precious moments together admiring the spectacular views of the Dee Valley.

After the children woke up full of energy from their sleep we headed home stopping in Ellesmere for a look around the shops.

A lovely day spent together, our family in glorious sunshine.

What a weekend.

Saturday

The Children Muzzy and myself headed out to Shrewsbury to do some shopping as we avoid Oswestry at every opportunity now. We headed to Tesco to get some bits for Kellyn.

On the way home we called in a Nanny's House I wanted to add more to Grandads web site. When it was time to go Kellyn decided he was going to stay at Nanny's House which was something he had not done for a while. So i headed home with out my special little boy the car was so quite i had the radio on just to make up for it.
Sunday
We were up early this morning and headed out the Shrewsbury for a fabulous day spent at the boot sales. We managed to get lots of bargains in the morning the car was full.
After Breakfast we had to take Daddy to work so while we were there i took the opportunity to empty our very full car to make room for a Boot Sale later that day.
Dinner time soon came around and we jumped in the car heading out to our next boot sale. We got some lovely things here including things for our home. Yet again the car was full.
The next Job was to got and fetch Kellyn. We had got him a new car seat over the weekend so i fitted it in the Morning i was so excited to hear what he had so say about. Also due to Ceienna being so long we had to put her in Kellyns old one. So she was excited to be travelling in a whole new direction due to her first car seat being rear facing.
Anyway a treat awaited Muzzy at Nanny's. Uncle Daniel was there with his dog Suki a gorgeous Springer Spaniel as well as Fudge Muzzy Sister so he had lots to play with.
Yet again time slipped away and we had to get Daddy from work so off we went another weekend been and gone.

Ceienna Is Now 5 Months Old

Our Cheeky Little Princess was 5 months old on Saturday. She is thriving. Ceienna is now sitting up for short periods of time and continues to enjoy life. This weekend she took great interest in the car boot sales especially enjoying rummaging through boxes with Daddy. Now she even joys meals properly with the family as well as having a cup of tea with us. Ceienna is great girl and becoming quite a character getting attention where ever she goes as she is a very confident baby too no one is ever disappointed, Our girl has a beaming smile for everyone she meets.
As she has changed so much over the last month Ceienna is now able to play with Kellyn that little bit more and Kellyn loves it. He adores his sister and is very protective of her. They have a wonderful bond between them a bond which i hope will last them a life time.

Whittington Swans & Spring

The children and myself have been out at every opertunity lately enjoying the spring. This year Kellyn has been so interested in the world around him it would be such a shame not to incourage such an inteligent little mind.

One thing Kellyn has been most interested in is the Swans at Whittington Castle building their nest and the waiting for the eggs to hatch. We have visited the Castle every week now to show Kellyn the swans and he is now waiting to see what will happen next.

Bridgenorth

Today Kellyn and Ceienna and me visited Bridgenorth. First Kellyn decided he wanted to go for a ride on the cliff Railway, which is what we did unfortunately the pushchair did not fit on the cars so it had to be folded down a very frantic experience with 2 small children and a dog as well as a changing bag but i did it. Kellyn was very excited about the ride to the top of the cliff. once at the top the views over the town where spectacular.
Next we visited the castle Gardens they are beautiful full of the joys of spring. we spent quite some time here enjoying the views and Kellyn was really interested in the Castle and its history.
Next we went for a walk around the town before headed back to the car.
Our next visit was to a very interesting Daniels Mill. This place was so interesting Kellyn was hooked with interest of how it works and its History.
On the way home we stopped at Wenlock Edge it was a glorious day in fab company. Poor Muzzy was very tired though. We arrived home in time for tea. Then we all cuddled up and watched TV together and went to sleep one very happy family.

Peace and Tranquility

This morning we jumped in the Car and headed through the Beautiful Mid Wales countryside down to Rhayader heading to the tranquil Elan Valley. We parked the car and prepared for our walk but nothing could prepared our for the splendid views that waited for us.

After spending time taking in the views of Caban Coch, We headed for our walk through the Valley.

Kellyn was fascinated with the views and loved playing with the rocks along the footpath.
We walked so far that Muzzy got tired and climbed into the basket on the pushchair for a rest.

It was such a beautiful walk with wonderful views, After walking so far Kellyn was getting tired and Ceienna was now ready for a feed so we headed back to the car.
When we got sorted back at the car we drove down to the Visitor Center.

At the Visitor Centre we learned all about the Dam its past and present as well as its Nature. While on our walk in the morning we had already experienced the Nature coming across many birds from Wag Tails to the Valleys native Red Kites.

Kellyn found the Information really interesting especially about the wildlife and the fish.
After viewing the exhibition about the valley and watching the film clip in the cinema area, We headed for the Cafe for refreshments.
The views from the windows here were breath taking. By the time we left we all felt very relaxed and very happy.

After finishing our lunch i just had to look at the interesting statures which were in the Centre Car Park, They were wonderfully interesting.

Next stop was an experience we just could not have prepared ourselves for it was truly spectacular. We headed for the Red Kite Feeding Station at Gigrin Farm.

The sky's Darkened with these spectacular Birds there where Hundreds of them all coming to be fed.

As well as Red Kites there were also Ravens t the site as well a Herons, We also spent a few Minutes admiring the Peacocks which were walking around the Farm. I also met a really cute Springer Spaniel here. We spent lots of time here it was such an amazing experience i really recommend.
