Peace and Tranquility

This morning we jumped in the Car and headed through the Beautiful Mid Wales countryside down to Rhayader heading to the tranquil Elan Valley. We parked the car and prepared for our walk but nothing could prepared our for the splendid views that waited for us.

After spending time taking in the views of Caban Coch, We headed for our walk through the Valley.

Kellyn was fascinated with the views and loved playing with the rocks along the footpath.
We walked so far that Muzzy got tired and climbed into the basket on the pushchair for a rest.

It was such a beautiful walk with wonderful views, After walking so far Kellyn was getting tired and Ceienna was now ready for a feed so we headed back to the car.
When we got sorted back at the car we drove down to the Visitor Center.

At the Visitor Centre we learned all about the Dam its past and present as well as its Nature. While on our walk in the morning we had already experienced the Nature coming across many birds from Wag Tails to the Valleys native Red Kites.

Kellyn found the Information really interesting especially about the wildlife and the fish.
After viewing the exhibition about the valley and watching the film clip in the cinema area, We headed for the Cafe for refreshments.
The views from the windows here were breath taking. By the time we left we all felt very relaxed and very happy.

After finishing our lunch i just had to look at the interesting statures which were in the Centre Car Park, They were wonderfully interesting.

Next stop was an experience we just could not have prepared ourselves for it was truly spectacular. We headed for the Red Kite Feeding Station at Gigrin Farm.

The sky's Darkened with these spectacular Birds there where Hundreds of them all coming to be fed.

As well as Red Kites there were also Ravens t the site as well a Herons, We also spent a few Minutes admiring the Peacocks which were walking around the Farm. I also met a really cute Springer Spaniel here. We spent lots of time here it was such an amazing experience i really recommend.

As we headed back home we stopped at the Gilfach Farm Nature Reserve to allow Muzzy to stretch his legs before making our way home through the glorious Welsh Countryside.
