A Day Out Down Memory Lane

Today was a beautiful Spring day first we headed to the Car Boot Sales as we do every Sunday then Daddy had to go to work and the Children and me headed off to have some fun.
Today was the Walford College Open Day, I was really excited to be going back here as this is were i spent some of the best days of my life while i studying Motor Vehicle Servicing,
We parked the car and headed off to explore the site, we first looked at the Countryside Management display and watched the students doing Chainsaw demonstrations, they were using the equipment to make furniture Kellyn was amazed what they could do with a log. We made our way round to the Engineering Department but stopped to watch the Rock climbing display.
We walked into the Engineering Department and i was amazed at the changes which had been made as i turned around there was a familiar face watching me, My Tutor Andy, After a long chat and a catch up with him we headed to look around the new Harris Centre It has lots of new animals here from Meerkats to Parrots. Kellyn thought the Falcons and Hawks were great. The animals were great to see and really interesting.

While in the centre we came across the Floral display demonstration Kellyn worked with the Tutor to decorate a lovely Primula for me. The Tutor was very impressed with him.

We walked over the road to the farm there was a Fire Engine here, Next we looked at the woodwork Display which was headed by another Familiar face who remembered me. We made our way around the animals there was Calves, Milking Demonstrations here. We watched a Dressage and Riding Display in the Indoor riding centre, Both Kellyn and Ceienna really enjoyed watching this display Ceienna even wanted to come out of the Pushchair to watch this. After the display had finished we made our way around the farm to the Newborn lambs, They had just been born hours before our visit, Kellyn as fascinated with them and they were cute.

We made our way back over the road and looked around the garden were we stopped at the Composting stand, they gave Kellyn some seeds to plant and we discussed our composting at home.
There was so much to see, do and take part in here it was a fantastic day out that both the children enjoyed. When we got to the car it wasn't long before they were both sound asleep in the car.
