Head Shoulders Knees and Toes

This Week as well as our usual practice at counting, Letters etc, we looked at Our body parts Kellyn amazed me with knowing all the parts of the body. He also showed Ceienna has to brush your teeth properly. We have had lots of song and Story time this week. Kellyn enjoyed reading The Hungry Caterpillar most of all. We have also had Story time with Hand Puppets Kellyn and Ceienna enjoyed this and where rolling around the floor laughing.

We worked on the computer, Kellyn typed up words he knew like his name and the names of his favourite toys.

School Time this week has been lots of fun.

Relaxing Canal Side Walk

Yesterday the family headed out after tea for a lovely walk in the Spring Sunshine next to the Montgomeryshire Canal. This was the first time Muzzy had been off his lead when we have been on our walks and never wandered off once, not bad for a 5 month old puppy.

The views along this stretch are breath taking made even more beautiful by the spring time evening sun.

Enjoy the pic's.

Caersws Transport Show

Monday saw the family heading through the country side and over the border to Caersws for the Transport Show once again. We did this show with Rockin last year though this year we did a Car Boot Sale and we were joined by Grandad with his Model farm.

It was a glorious day and there were crowds around Rockin all day long. I even got a chance to have a drive an experience i have written about on the Rockin blog.

We all had a lovely day Kellyn and Ceienna enjoyed looking around the machines and we bought some lovely items from the boot sale as well as selling a few. But the biggest news to come from the show was a reporter taking an interest in Grandads model farm and it will be featured in a national magazine, which is very exciting.

The day rolled quickly by and we all had a fabulous picnic prepared again by Daddy. Cant Wait till Next week.

Is This The Future?????????

Fun, Fun, Fun in the Sun

This weekend the family spent a a weekend together relaxing at home taking in the marvellous views from our garden. The children had the paddling pool out, This was Ceienna's first time in the pool it was great fun and she loved every minute of it.

Kellyn and Ceienna playing

We were really lucky to have a few days of glorious sun shine, We made the most of it the best we could. The children had their Pop Up tent up, and Ceienna enjoyed playing in here safe from the sun. On Sunday Daddy and Kellyn even played catch together, with their new ball and mitt they bought from the boot sales this week.

This being Muzzys first summer to he found it rather hot so he retreated into the children's tent.

We all had a great time this weekend enjoying each others company. We even had a chance to sort the house out a job which needed doing for some time, as well as enjoying lots of fun and games outside with the Children. Sunday we also headed through Hope Valley to Churchstoke and had fun playing in the Playground. Great Stuff.

Rainbows and Dinosaurs

This week we have looked at rainbows and dinosaurs during school time. We have read lots of stories about dinosaurs and looking then up on the Internet as well as doing dino related activities. Kellyn has also mastered the skill of using clip art on the computer and made a dinosaur collage.

Also this week we looked at Rainbows Kellyn was really interested after seeing one in the sky so we used the experience to look at what makes a rainbow and the different colours displayed. We then did some lovely Rainbow pictures.

Ceiennas 6 Months old

Gosh how time passes you by it is very hard to believe ceienna is now 6 months old,she is growing into a very clever little girl she is now laughing a lot and interacting with everybody she meets she is always getting lovely comments about her big blue sparkling eyes and lovely smile,in another 6 months she will probably be using the computer just like kellyn does now agghhhhh.

Oswestry Truck Show

Well the end of yet another weekend which has been totally action packed. We have spend the last 2 days dodging the weather due to having broken rain storms but in between sunshine and warmth.

Anyway Saturday we headed out early for a distance run to Oswestry Show Ground all 6 miles taking Rockin to the Truck Show. Kellyn was very excited as he wanted to see the Monster Trucks again. Many exhibits were the same as the Truck fest show we visited earlier in the month but we did not have so far to travel this time.

Rockin caused many laughs here with many spectators taking photos and stopping to read the new information board we put out which Daddy had made up. Showing the life, highs and lows of the machine.

Unfortunately bad weather put dampeners on the day but when ever we are together as a family we never have a bad day.

Sunday we woke up and examined the weather to find it was quite pleasant compared with the day before so we ventured up to Shrewsbury to the Boot Sales as ever, before visiting a Boot Sale we have been to every year since we got together at Acton Burnell We walked around and picked up some lovely stuff for the Children before the heavens opened and we got caught in a heavy down pour.

After a mad dash to the car we headed home calling in at Nanny's house on the way. When we got home we settled down to watch Kellyns new DVD, Thomas and The Great Discovery while Daddy slaved away in the kitchen to make us a fabulous Sunday Roast. A lovely end to a lovely weekend.

Marches Festival of Transport- Ludlow

A beautiful Shropshire morning waited for us as we ventured out yesterday firstly stopping in Shrewsbury before the family parted to go our separate ways. Kellyn and Daddy headed out to Ludlow while Ceienna and i stayed in Shrewsbury before making our way down the A49 to Ludlow. A beautiful drive alongside the Longmynds a place very close to my heart.

After parking the car outside of Ludlow Town Centre and walking in we made our way to the festival firstly coming across Grandad and Uncle Daniel with their Model farm display this is their first outing with the farm and it was very well received by the visitors. Ceienna and i then made our way to the vehicles inside the Castle Grounds where we found Rockin and then Daddy, Rockin was Parked at the front in the welcoming line today with loads of spectators crowding around it all day.

Kellyn had decided to spend the day with Grandad so Daddy, Ceienna and myself walked around all the cars at the show and there were loads, before heading into the Food Festival this was very exciting unfortunately there was free ale tasting with a free 1/2 pint but we missed out a bit as nether of us drink any more though there was plenty of other things to try and enjoy including my favourite fudge which Daddy bought some specially for me.

After our walk around the festival we collected Kellyn and went for a walk around Ludlow castle unfortunately this building is little more than ruins now but still a very interesting place to visit Kellyn and Daddy had great fun here chasing each other through the remains leaving me and Ceienna to enjoy a gentle stroll.

Another day soon slipped away but we are all really excited about our next show.

A Quite Bank Holiday Monday Together

Today we went out early heading to Shrewsbury first to the Boot sales before heading for our Breakfast. Next we Headed out to the Beautiful village of Leebotwood. We got some great deals today some things to add to our collection and lots of books to help Kellyn with his School studies. Kellyn stayed with me today and the comments on him were enough to make any mother proud. He was asking the sellers how much things were that he liked over spilling with confidence. He certainly is an out standing 2 year old.

Then we headed home and due to the weather Kellyn Ceienna Muzzy and me settled down in the Good Sitting room to watch Kellyns favourite film Cats n Dog's.

Truckfest

Today the family travelled down to Peterbourogh to Europe's Larges Truck Show. I visited this show many times both as a spectator and exhibitor so it was nice to return with my wonderful family.
The Show was packed with very kind of truck you could imagine.

Most of the trucks have some beautiful artwork and we all had our favourites.

The Show always has some Celebrities here and this year was no exception. We met Ice Road Truckers Rick Yenn He signed a DVD for us and was thrilled to have his picture taken with Ceienna.

I loved This one.

Also at the show this year was the Trucks used in Top Gear. We also Watched the Monster Trucks at the Show we all enjoyed this, This years trucks were Bigfoot 17 my favourite and a truck very close to my heart, Thunderfoot and Slipknot.

The Top Gear Trucks

This truck was loved by the whole family. Lol wonder why.

" Theres a Dog in the Pram " Llandudno

Today was a beautiful spring morning. We headed out the door early for our days adventure, As we passed Whittington Castle we noticed a little fluffy head popping out from the nesting swan. The Cygnets have now arrived, We were all very excited so we stopped to look it was so early in the morning there was no one else around as we got to see the new arrivals much better than if it had been later in the day. As we stood admiring the new swan family a mallard swam over with her new ducklings proudly showing off her new family of 8. Time was getting on now so we got in the car and made our way along the North Wales coast (stopping at a Car Boot on the way) to Llandudno.

First we went to the Transport Festival, there are all kinds of different vehicles from motorbikes to motor homes to big lorries. We looked around the trade stands for a while before getting into the transport. Kellyn was very excited He headed straight to the Tractors and slowly made is way around the cars. He is really interested in Minis at the moment and he was not disappointed, there where also bubble cars on display another vehicle which causes interest with all of us. This was Ceienna and Muzzys first show today both of them enjoyed their time out. Ceienna was most excited seeing all the vehicles and really showed an interest in more things than others. Muzzy had lots of fuss and attention at the Transport Festival but caused lots of laughter later on.

After our walk around the transport exhibits we walked along a very cold and windy sea front. by now Ceienna wanted a feed so we sat admiring the views out to sea while the three musketeers Daddy, Kellyn and Muzzy walked along the stoney Shore and Muzzy enjoyed dipping into the sea.

Next we headed into a very packed town we were constantly stopped by people laughing at Muzzy. With him still being so little he gets very tired so he will share the pushchair with the children. This caused lots of commotion and attention with the crowds. We were even stopped by people wanting their pictures taken with " The Dog in the Pram" it was so funny.

Anyway the Victorian Extravaganza was packed and very exciting with live music which we all enjoyed and steam engines something the whole family has a soft spot for and Ceienna thought they were just great.

The day slipped away fast and it was soon time to hit the roads again, so we dwindled back to a sunny Shropshire via our most favourite place in Wales Betws -Y- Coed for a lovely Chip supper. Life just don't get better than this.

Ellesmere

Today Kellyn Ceienna Muzzy and myself headed into town . It was such a beautiful day that we headed to the Mere. A beautiful place full of memories. The mere has recently re opened due to massive renovation along the front.

We parked the Car and headed into the Park. Kellyn could not wait to get the playground and he was not disappointed. After a while we left the park and walked as far as we could around the mere.

We had great fun looking at the different plants and flowers and also the different kinds of water fowl which have made home here and now have young.

As we walked around there was a Gentleman painter capturing the beauty of the place on canvas Kellyn and i were fascinated and very impressed by his work.

On the way back we fed the ducks before getting back to the car before the weather changed. We had a lovely time together here and i can not wait to go again soon.
