A Day Out Down Memory Lane

Today was a beautiful Spring day first we headed to the Car Boot Sales as we do every Sunday then Daddy had to go to work and the Children and me headed off to have some fun.
Today was the Walford College Open Day, I was really excited to be going back here as this is were i spent some of the best days of my life while i studying Motor Vehicle Servicing,
We parked the car and headed off to explore the site, we first looked at the Countryside Management display and watched the students doing Chainsaw demonstrations, they were using the equipment to make furniture Kellyn was amazed what they could do with a log. We made our way round to the Engineering Department but stopped to watch the Rock climbing display.
We walked into the Engineering Department and i was amazed at the changes which had been made as i turned around there was a familiar face watching me, My Tutor Andy, After a long chat and a catch up with him we headed to look around the new Harris Centre It has lots of new animals here from Meerkats to Parrots. Kellyn thought the Falcons and Hawks were great. The animals were great to see and really interesting.

While in the centre we came across the Floral display demonstration Kellyn worked with the Tutor to decorate a lovely Primula for me. The Tutor was very impressed with him.

We walked over the road to the farm there was a Fire Engine here, Next we looked at the woodwork Display which was headed by another Familiar face who remembered me. We made our way around the animals there was Calves, Milking Demonstrations here. We watched a Dressage and Riding Display in the Indoor riding centre, Both Kellyn and Ceienna really enjoyed watching this display Ceienna even wanted to come out of the Pushchair to watch this. After the display had finished we made our way around the farm to the Newborn lambs, They had just been born hours before our visit, Kellyn as fascinated with them and they were cute.

We made our way back over the road and looked around the garden were we stopped at the Composting stand, they gave Kellyn some seeds to plant and we discussed our composting at home.
There was so much to see, do and take part in here it was a fantastic day out that both the children enjoyed. When we got to the car it wasn't long before they were both sound asleep in the car.

4 Months Today

Our Beautiful Baby Girl is now 4 months old today. She is thriving, Ceienna captures the hearts of everyone she meets with her infectious smile. No matter how bad things are or however bad you feel all we do is look at our wonderful Daughter and she gives you one of her cheeky beaming smiles and everything goes away.

She has taken to solid foods well and loves exploring new things. She is desperately trying to learn to sit up and move on her own. She loves to look at books and listen to stories. Ceienna and Kellyn both have special stories which are made up by Daddy.

She now weighs 14lb so is putting on at least 1lb per month. Today she has had her last injection until she is 12 months old.

Kellyn adores her and enjoys showing off his special baby sister, they even play together really well Kellyn willingly shares his toys with Ceienna something Ceienna enjoys too as she learns more and more everyday.

Spring 2009

Today was such a beautiful Spring day and for the first time in ages we had nothing special to do. So I asked Kellyn what he wanted to do and he Said he wanted to go for a walk and Daddy had suggested earlier feeding the Ducks.

So first we headed out side and toddled down the Drive at the moment it is lined on both sides with beautiful Daffodils and they are of every combination possible Kellyn loves looking at flowers at the moment and it it great to get out and take in the fresh spring Shropshire air. Next we Jumped in the car and headed to Ellesmere, We had a wonderful time wondering around the Second-Hand shops here as we always do.

After we finished here we went to Daddy at work, Kellyn wanted to spend sometime with his Dad so Ceienna and I went for a walk along the Offa's Dyke Footpath which takes you along the Canal at Llanymynech. Here we found lots of very Hungry wildlife, Luckily we had taken some bread with us. The Swans were very grateful.

The day had soon gone and it was time to head home for Tea.

I love this time of year when everything is fresh and new. The lambs are in the fields and doing really well, The Swans that are at Whittington are preparing their nest for this years new arrival. We have even come across some Calfs in the fields. I am lucky to have been born here, and the Children enjoy making the most of their surroundings too. I'm really looking forward to our next adventure.

Tractor World - Malvern

The children and i had an early start this morning, We left a disappointed Daddy behind as we headed to Shrewsbury to meet up with Grandad and drop off Muzzy with Nanny before heading to the Three Counties Show Ground for the Tractor World Show, This is a show i have exhibited at many times in the past with the British Tractor Pullers Association. We headed into the grounds Kellyn was very excited he dragged us through. Today was Ceienna's first time in the pushchair facing forward so she was also very excited. First Kellyn wanted to look at the tractors outside left from the auction the day before, Kellyn fell in love with a Ford County. Next we headed into the show heading into the model displays. Their where some wonderful displays here, Grandads friend had won first prize. Kellyn was fascinated with a Reliant Model which the chap had built for his disabled daughter, i thought this was a brilliant idea unfortunately she had now outgrown it. Next we looked at the college tractor building competition i took the side of Lackham college as i have a history with them, unfortunately they lost by 2 minutes. Kellyn had to look at the stationary engines as he loves these as they sound like a steam train. Next we went into the next hall to look at all the old tractors Kellyn was so pleased to find a vintage JCB. Soon it was time for dinner so we headed for the burger bar and sat outside enjoying a beautiful spring day in the Worcestershire countryside. As we wondered around we bumped into lots of familiar faces all eager to meet my 2 wonderful children. The day went quick and it was soon time to leave, so we headed back to the car and had a cup of tea before heading back to Shrewsbury on the way we saw 2 Hawks fighting in a field it was an amazing sight.

To view more Pic's please visit our family photo album also Kellyn took photos of his day out which are displayed at the same place.
