Park Hall Farm

It was a beautiful morning, The children and myself planned a day out at Park Hall, Daddy was not happy as he had to go to work so could not come with us.

After Daddy left for work i got both the children ready and then our picnic for the day.

It was soon time for us to jump in the car and off we went, making our short Journey down to Park Hall Farm. When we arrived Kellyn could not wait to get out of the car.

First we headed through the Victorian School, Kellyn was really interested in this so as we walked through i explained the different exhibits to him. We came out onto the farmyard were we looked first at the pig, then the donkey, finally making our way to the horses, Kellyn and Ceienna both love horses, Ceienna's face beamed with delight as she spotted them. We looked at the Shetland pony's first then moved on to the Shires.

Our first activity for the day was Pony Grooming Kellyn was really excited by this, He took the brush and began the task he did it brilliantly. When he had finished he wanted to look at the rabbits, so he did before we headed outside for the Tractor Ride, I had to have help to get the pushchair up onto the cart, Kellyn was really excited with the ride and enjoyed it very much. as we drove around we where shown the Iron Age house which is being built at the site, This will be very interesting when it is complete. After the ride, We went to view the car collection before Heading to Lamb feeding. Kellyn sat patiently on my knee waiting for his turn to feed the orphan lambs, as we waited i could not help but remember visiting my nan at this time of the year when i was a child, she had orphan lambs in her Kitchen in front of a warm open fire. After we fed and stroked the lambs, Ceienna was hungry so we headed to the tractor play den, Kellyn had a great time with the tractors. Once Ceinna had taken all she could the 3 of us went into the soft play area, We built a tractor in there with the soft toys, Kellyn did the Jigsaw on the wall and Ceienna rode on one of the soft toys. After we finished our lunch stop we went to watch the Milking demonstration, The first demonstration was Milking by hand something else that brought back a memory of my mum telling me how she did this year ago. Next was Milking by Machine Kellyn was fascinated by this demonstration. He got to look at cow nuts and hold the fresh milk, They told us how we could not drink the milk straight from the cow as it had to be treated, This mad me laugh as again visiting my nan we always had milk straight from the cow and very good it was to. Kellyn was getting tired now so i put him in the pushchair while we did the woodland and Nature walk and also visited the Duck Pond, When we got back to the car Kellyn was asleep for for a closed the door, He'd had such a good day.
