Our Little Star

On a very murky morning we set out to Shrewsbury to begin our special day. As we headed up the by-pass the rain started to fall and Kellyn and i thought it would be a wet day. By the time we parked the car by the River Severn the rain had reduced to a few drops here and there so we got out of the car and gathered all we needed for the day.
As we walked into the town we bumped into lots of familiar faces, all glad to see us, and all saying the same things about how lovely the children are and how my life took a very un expected turn. After a quick visit to the shops it was time to head to the Quarry for something special.

Today Kellyn was taking part in the Barnardos Big Toddle, (Barnardos is a children's charity). There was lots of other children here and also the local press and the local radio.

Kellyn was amazed by the magician Magic Kev who was balloon modeling for the children. Soon the children were off, Kellyn was well in front and very eager to get going as were all the other children too. The walk was 1/2 a mile long but for our Kellyn it was a Doddle Toddle and we crossed the finish line well ahead of the others and he collected his medal and certificate. Ceienna Also had a medal and certificate for taking part.

After all the toddlers had crossed the line and had a drink and biscuit Magic Kev did another magic show, which we sat to watch.

After the event Kellyn was very hungry so we headed to one of my most favourite places on earth, The Dingle, For a very healthy picnic sat by the statue of Sabrina and the water feature. It was beautiful and we were soon joined by some very hungry ducks.

After a really wonderful and tasty picnic Kellyn, Ceienna and myself headed back along the river to the car.
