Today Kellyn Nanny and I had a lovely day out touring the sights of the local Canals.
First we headed to Llangollan for the first part of our day. We parked the car and went through the town to where the Horse Drawn Boat Trips where.
We met our Horse that was going to be taking us on our trip his name was Stan and he was great so friendly and cuddly.
We had a while to wait for our trip so we went to the tea room to have some tea and toast.
It was soon time to get on the boat for our trip. The staff here where so friendly and helpful, They helps us on and off the boat with Kellyn and the pushchair and answered any questions we had which help our trip go even smoother.
The trip lasted 45 minutes it was so relaxing and i took some lovely pictures. Kellyn had a great time he spent most of the trip watching the horse.
After our trip had finished and we said good bye to Stan, We headed back to the car to go for dinner.
We drove up into the hills to the Pondarose Cafe on the Horseshoe Pass. When we got there Kellyn desided he wanted to go for a wander throught the hills, so off we went. When he had enough we came back and went for dinner.
After dinner Kellyn was so tired so we desided to drive and admire the views. We headed down the Horse Shoe pass on the way we visited the Valle Crusis Abbey Ruins.
We set off again heading down through Trevor down to the Trevor Basin and a walk across the Poncysyllte Aqueduct.
The views here where spectacular and on the way babck our efforts where rewarded by a beautiful rainbow which crossed the sky.
After we finished looking around this part of the water way we headed to the Ty Mawr Country Park, again we walked this time even Kellyn walked around rather than use is pushchair i was so impressed with him.
As we headed home we visited the Canal once more as it ran through Chirk and and took in the spectacular view before heading back home for that all important cup of tea.
Once again a fab day out full or exploring and exercise, lol.
