kellyn is into trains in such a big way and has been so good we decided to take him on the welshpool and Llanfair railway,perfect timing we got to welshpool and the train was leaving in ten minutes kellyn,s face when he saw the train he was so excited i went to get the tickets while georgina and kellyn watched the train hook up to the carriages,we got on board and it was packed its a lovely run up to Llanfair starting at welshpool and up the notoriously steep Golfa bank and into the delightful banwy valley following the banway river and onto Llanfair it is unusual track as the original builders chose a track gauge of 2 ft 6 ins to allow for tight curves and steep gradients and was originally built to link farming communites with the market town of welshpool to provide them with a outlet for there produce ,anyway we arrived at Llanfair were we had some dinner and a stroll around before heading back to welshpool kellyn was getting tired so we had a nice run back and kellyn fell asleep in the car on the way home we all enjoyed ourselves .
